The Under Graduate Nurses are prepared to be the professional nurses and expected to function as the first level nursing professionals in the hospital and community setting as well as in the nursing institutions in order to provide comprehensive nursing care and quality nursing education to the future nursing students   The Post Graduate Nurses are prepared to function in a leadership position in a selected area of Clinical Specialty, Nursing Education, Nursing Administration and in Nursing Research. They are prepared to conduct independent research studies and also to be a Nurse practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist

SUCCESS STORIES The College started functioning in 2007-08. Twelve years is too short a period to gauge the academic brilliance of a professional institution. Nevertheless, the Saraswathy College of Nursing in its short span of existence has carved a name for it and is fast emerging as a Centre of Excellence for Nursing Education in the state of Kerala. Despite the fact that a majority of students are from socially and economically backward strata of society, we have achieved commendable results at the examinations conducted by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Trissur.

We the faculty of Saraswathy College of Nursing, ‘Believe in preparing nursing students at Graduate and Post Graduate levels in accordance with the highest standards of the Nursing profession, keeping in mind the changing trends in the field of health care system and to render nursing care based on the current needs of the modern society. And we also believe that professional nursing requires prompt updating of knowledge and skills to meet the challenges in health care due to Technological advancements. And we also believe that nursing students assume leadership position in nursing field and other allied health fields as specialists, practitioners, consultants, educators, counselors, researchers and administrators”.

The SARASWATHY COLLEGE OF NURSING was founded in 2007-08, in fond memory of the late B. Saraswathy Amma Teacher, who succumbed to the dreaded silent killer, diabetes mellitus, at a relatively young age of forty four. The Saraswathy College of Nursing, situated in a serene and idyllic surrounding at Karode, a remote hamlet, bordering Kerala and Tamil Nadu, has today, emerged as one of the most sought after institutions for the under graduate and post graduate degree courses in Nursing. We provide 'Quality Education in a Homely Environment'. In addition to academic excellence, we also focus on the overall development of the students. We are extremely proud of the fact that students from the eight batches that have successfully completed the course since inception ,are today working in reputed Hospitals, in India and Abroad.
